I want to lose weight because….

So I was flipping through this notebook I found in my desk the other day and scribbled throughout were reasons/motivations to lose weight/be healthy.  Some of them are good and some of them maybe aren’t so good and some of them are just funny.  I thought maybe sharing them here would help me get more motivated and remember that this is about me and my life and how I want to live it.  And maybe someone else will see something that will remind them of why they want to be healthier too.

I want to lose weight because…

* I am tired of going through the motions.

* I want to be self-confident.

* I want to wear a bikini.

* I want to be physically and emotionally healthy.

* I want to be able to have a family someday.

* I want to be HOTT.

* I do not want to be constantly worried about having a heart attack.

* I want to appreciate my parents’ good intentions.

* I want to wear a slutty Halloween costume.

* I want to be young.

* I am so over being the 5th wheel.

* I want to wear boots that actually fit over my calves. (This may be an impossible dream.  Why are boots only made for people with chicken legs?!)

* I want to meet someone special, fall in love, have my dream wedding, have babies, and grow old in a beautiful, healthy life.

* I want to love myself enough for someone else to want to love me.

* I want to wear cute jeans.

* I do not want to feel lonely anymore.

* I want to have a future.

* Being the only single girl at weddings sucks.

* I want to live it up during the rest of my 20s.

* I hate being alone during holidays.

* I want to give Winfield and Townes cousins.

* I do not want to be a statistic anymore.

* I want to keep up on Freewheel next year.

* I want to be proud of myself.

Tomorrow is the first day of October.  3 months left in 2010 and 145 days, 15 hours, and 10 minutes until my 27th birthday.  Game on.

Ten Days: Day 9

Day Nine: Two words that describe your life right now.

2.  Patterned.  Things are orderly, organized, typical. Day-to-day, week-to-week things are generally the same — same order, same process, same flavor.

1.  Full.  The pattern is a busy.  I have a lot of activities and a lot of people and a lot to do.

Ten Days: Day 8

Day Eight: Three turn ons.

So I feel like “turn ons” sounds totally creepy/weird/uncomfortable.  Instead of turn ons, I give you, three attractive qualities in boys:

3.  Sense of humor.

2.  Intelligence.

1.  Beards.

Ten Days: Day 7

So I totally failed you yesterday re my Day 7 post.  I know you’re devastated.  So today I’ll give you a double whammy and post days 7 and 8! Try to contain your excitement.

Day Seven: Four turn offs.

4.  Small/feminine hands.

3.  Vanity.

2.  Bad teeth.

1.  Lack of ambition.

Ten Days: Day 6

Day Six: Five people who mean a lot to you.

I only get to name 5?! That is completely cruel.  You already know that The Major Players mean everything to me so even though they didn’t make the list, it doesn’t mean that I love them any less, it just means, that 5 is not enough!

5.  My nephew Baby Townes.  I just want to squeesh his puffy little cheeks!

4. My nephew Winfield.  He is perfectly ornery and perfectly sweet at the same time.  Oh, and completely hilarious.

2/3.  My parents.  They really are the jam.  They’re so much fun and so supportive and am I so glad they were willing to do the MS 150 Bike Ride with me this past weekend!

1.  My sister.  She’s always been very best friend. And I am SO glad she doesn’t live far away anymore!

Ten Days: Day 5

Six things you wish you could change or you wish you’d never done.

6.  I wish I’d never let my mom talk me into that chili-bowl cut in 1993.

5.  I wish I’d never started drinking pop. Seriously, Diet Dr. Pepper, I wish I knew how to quit you.

4.  I wish I could change my shoes right now. I don’t like how my topsiders are looking with this outfit.  At least they are oh so comfy though.

3.  I wish I’d never gotten a DVR.  It makes me feel like I have to make time to watch TV so I don’t run out of space — seriously, making watching TV a priority seems so weird and wrong.

2.  I wish I could change the way I treated people in the sixth grade.  I was a little be-yotch. I feel like I may never live it down.

1.  I wish I hadn’t finished undergraduate in three years.  Biggest mistake ever! Okay, looking back there are things about it that played out well for me, but seriously, leaving college early is never a good idea. Epic fail.

Ten Days: Day 4

Seven things that cross my mind a lot…

7.  I wonder how long it will really take me to pay off my student loans.

6.  Does my hair look crazy right now?

5.  If I won the lottery, I would…. (this thought scenario can play out for hours at a time)

4.  I really need to do my nails.

3.  I have to pee. But I don’t feel like it.

2.  I shouldn’t eat that.

1.  Where is he? (Yes, I am that pathetic.)
